Illinois Residents Can See The Shedd Aquarium For Free This Winter
The Shedd Aquarium is one of my favorite places to visit when I go to Chicago. And this month they are offering FREE admission.
For 25 days in both January and February, Illinois residents can experience Shedd Aquarium for free. According to Chicago WLS, the free admission will be offered January 17-21 and every weekday in February. And while this promotion is good for general admission, you can always upgrade your ticket if you want to see the additional exhibits or the 4-D movie.
If you ever get a chance to go to Shedd Aquarium, DO IT! It's really for all ages. I remember when my oldest was really into Nemo and we had to search the whole dang aquarium until we found that fish (FYI it's in the Caribbean section). There are fish and other sea animals that you likely won't see anywhere else. And if you're lucky, try to catch a display during feeding time. It is REALLY cool.
You will have to bring a valid driver's licence with you to verify you are from Illinois. For more information about the free admission visit Shedd Aquarium's website.
