NBC's 'America's Got Talent' has announced the top acts of the current season. 48 acts will compete for the $1 million grand-prize beginning on Tuesday, June 29. 47 of those performers have been announced. The 48th, chosen by viewers of 'Today,' will be announced on June 30 during the 'America's Got Talent' results show. Among this season's top acts are performers from Illinois, Missouri and Iowa.

EMILY WEST

Emily West is a singer and songwriter originally from Waterloo, Iowa. Her career has taken her from Iowa to Nashville, and then New York City. According to 'America's Got Talent,' "Emily's dream is to have a one-woman show that tells stories through her songs."

JD ANDERSON

Strongman JD Anderson is a 26-year-old from Noel, Missouri. "JD gets his audience's attention by doing amazing feats of strength and then encourages and motivates them to make the right choices and be the best they can be in life."

SEAN & LUKE

Sean & Luke, a tap hip-hop duo from the Chicago area, began performing together when they were 7-years-old! . They do all styles of dance including jazz, lyrical and modern, but their duet has always been tap. "Luke wants to be a teacher, and Sean wants to pursue dance and theater."

CHRISTIAN STOINEV

Christian Stoinev began performing alongside his father in an acrobatic act when he was just five years old.  He is a fifth generation performer who graduated last year with a degree in broadcast journalism from Illinois State University.  "While in school, he continued to develop his craft as a member of the ISU Circus. In addition to his wide range of hand balancing skills, Christian has also developed a unique routine with his pet Chihuahua, Scooby!"
