Illinois Human-Trafficking Operation Leads to 5 Arrests

There is a new focus by Illinois law enforcement to put the hammer down on human trafficking in the state. In fact, just days ago, the Illinois State Police and many special task forces executed an operation in the Forsyth area that has resulted in 5 individuals being charged of awful crimes.

Illinois is one of the worst states in America for human trafficking according to the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault

That's why the Illinois State Police shared a press release from their Public Information Office detailing what just happened near Forsyth, Illinois. They say a human trafficking demand suppression operation was done on August 21 and August 22. Their efforts resulted in charges against these 5 suspects:

• Thad E. Olson (58) of Bloomington, IL – Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony) and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony).
• Robert W. Danbury (34) of Decatur, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony).
• David R. Martin (69) of Bethany, IA – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).
• Benito Rojas-Martinez (54) of Urbana, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3
  Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).
• Luke V. Nguyen (54) of Peoria, IL – Indecent Solicitation of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Minor (Class 3 Felony), Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony), and Grooming (Class 4 Felony).

This huge crackdown was completed by the Illinois State Police cooperating with the Illinois Trafficking Enforcement Group, East Central Illinois Drug Task Force, North Central Narcotics Task Force, Task Force 6, Vermilion Metropolitan Enforcement Group, ISP Zone 4 Special Agents, ISP SWAT, ISP Intelligence Support Unit, and the ISP Division of Patrol - Special Operations Group-Central.
