Illinois Grill Disaster – 10 Foods You Should Never BBQ Ever

One of the benefits of having been on earth for more than five decades is I've seen and done nearly everything. That's especially true of BBQ which is my native tongue. I can tell you from experience that there are a zillion foods that are awesome on a BBQ, but there are 10 that are truly an Illinois grill disaster waiting to happen.

In my opinion, frozen meats are the worst BBQ mistake you can make. There are few things worse than taking a bit of what you think is a charred, well-cooked BBQ'd meat that has a cold spot inside of it. Blah. I have also made the mistake of thinking sliced vegetables would be awesome only to have them fall through the grill. Fish is a weird BBQ item because it CAN be done right, but it's difficult. The flakier the fish, the worse the BBQ experience is. Also, I'm gonna pretend that I've never put cheese on a grill, but that would be a lie.

You don't have to take my word for the fact that these 10 foods should never be slapped on a BBQ grill. CNET, Chowhound and numerous other sites will tell you the same thing. It's not often that I would advise against BBQ'ing, but these 10 foods are a no-no. Don't ask me how I know.
