Hannibal Salvation Army Rings in The Season
The Hannibal Salvation Army has begun the Christmas season with its annual Tree of Lights Christmas Kick-Off event. This year's goal is $110,000. Michael and Whitney Holliday are the 2019 Christmas Campaign Chairs.
The Salvation Army provides a variety of programs and services to assist families in need in the counties of Marion, Ralls, Lewis, Monroe, and Shelby. Following are a few examples of ways The Salvation Army has given a hand up to our neighbors in need.
The Salvation Army Family Services provided the following assistance during 2018:
4,017 people were served by the daily bread line
1037 food boxes were distributed
52 families received utility assistance
580 families received help with clothing
850 families received Christmas food boxes
1,500 children received toys for Christmas
