If you enjoy nature and you love to walk the Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has an event for you. The Hannibal Parks & Recreation is sponsoring a nature walk in Riverview Park.

The event will feature Gale Rublee, nature educator, who will guide the walk. She has previously been a naturalist and teacher at Shaw Nature Reserve in St. Louis. She will teach participants about the trees, plants and wildlife in Hannibal’s biggest park.

The walk will be on easy-to-moderate terrain and will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 at Shelter No. 2, near the first overlook at Riverview Park, and will last about 90 minutes.

Reservations are required and can be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov.
