Hannibal Just Named One of the Best Missouri Fall Destinations
Congratulations, Hannibal. You just received a nice national shoutout as one of the best Missouri destinations this Fall and they're not wrong.
I saw this just shared by World Atlas. They ranked the top 9 places to visit in Missouri this Fall and Hannibal is right there near the top. They used the phrases "autumn wonderland" and "historical charm" and seemed to be quite fond of the Lover's Leap Trail for seeing the best Fall colors along the Mississippi River.
Hannibal also received praise for ghost tours and the seasonal things that the Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum do. One thing they failed to mention which is odd since it's one of the most Fall things ever is the Folklife Festival that has been super-popular in Hannibal for decades now.
Speaking of the Folklife Festival in Hannibal, this year's event is set for the weekend of October 19 and 20.
It's easy to brush off national lists like the one shared by World Atlas, but you'd maybe be surprised by the large numbers that follow sites like that which can result in new people discovering places like Hannibal and that can only be a good thing.
