The new facility at 925 Grand Avenue is easily visible and easy to get to from I-72. The pandemic delayed ribbon cutting festivities. Convention and Visitors’ Bureau Executive Director Gail Bryant says “it’s a day that we’ve waited for for a long time to have everybody come out to celebrate our ribbon cutting.”

Goals were high visibility and a special look. That led to the riverboat inspired design and the Grand Avenue location. The previous location at 505 North Third was along the highway until the current Mark Twain Memorial Bridge opened.
