Great Girlfriend Getaway Going On Now in Hannibal

The women are taking over downtown at the Great Girlfriend Getaway going on now in Hannibal's historic district. This is a COVID-modified version of the annual getaway, but a big bonus is that many of the events are free.

The Great Girlfriend Getaway officially kicked off with Music Under the Stars free concert Thursday night. The main feature this year is free music all weekend long from Friday, August 7 until Sunday, August 9. Stroll the Street features outdoor concerts at various locations on Main Street throughout the day and into the night. Hannibal now has an open liquor ordinance which allows alcoholic beverages outside between North Street and Broadway and from the Mississippi River to Third Street. No glass containers are allowed but visitors are otherwise able to stroll and sip drinks downtown.
