Forbes Says There’s a New Richest Place in Missouri Now
History has proven that I'm wrong eventually (about many things). That is now true of something I just said recently about the richest place in Missouri. Forbes has just named a new place in Missouri that has more bling than any other and yes it's different than what I said. This is me correcting that now.
It was only 6 days ago that I said that Huntleigh, Missouri was the richest place in Missouri. Guess what? That is now outdated. In my defense, that metric came from Stacker so let's blame them.
Forbes just issued a brand new richest places in Missouri list and #1 isn't Huntleigh anymore (although they are listed as #2 now). What is the #1 richest place in Missouri now? It's this tiny village known as Country Life Acres.
If you zoom out a bit, you can see it's a tiny community that's in the western part of the St. Louis metro area.
According to Forbes, the average household income for families in Country Life Acres is $617,688. The median home value is over $1.5 million. Their list says the average home price in the former #1 of Huntleigh is now down to a mere $1.4 million. How will they survive? Let's start a Go Fund Me for them. Not.
Other blingy communities like Frontenac and Ladue make the Forbes list, too. But they're not #1 now. It's tiny Country Life Acres that has the richest place in Missouri bragging rights...for now.
