DOT Foods Steps Up To The Plate Again!

It is well documented the shortages food pantries are experiencing not only in this area but also around the country and the world as well. Well, once again, when there is a need DOT Foods stepped up to the plate (no pun intended).

It was recently announced that Quincy Catholic Charities received a $13,618 grant from DOT Foods in Mt. Sterling to support the Catholic Charities food pantry.  The Catholic Charities Pantry assisted nearly 17 thousand people last year.

In an article in the Quincy Herald Whig, Quincy Catholic Charities Area Director, Jackie Bruns, is quoted as saying, “this generous grant could not have come at a better time”.  According to Bruns the grant will allow the pantry to be stocked for several months.

DOT Foods has been a philanthropic organization for this area for years. They are the largest food redistributor in the country and once again they have answered a need. We always see the big blue DOT trucks as we travel all across the United States.  So when you see the next one remember just what they do for our area.
