The Palmyra Chamber of Commerce posted on their Facebook page this morning a flyer advertising a massive demolition derby that is happening in Palmyra this Saturday!

The Palmyra Demolition Derby presented by Filthy Promotions with the Palmyra Parks and Recreation department will be this Saturday, May 15th at 7pm. They say in the flyer that the "show" starts at 7pm but there is the Power Wheels sponsored by Glitzy Girls by GiGi at 6:30pm, that night as well. There are a couple different classes with different payouts like the Bone Stock class where first place gets $1200, but there is also a Compact Car class, a Gut 'n Go class, and a Street Stock Weld class, all having their own payouts for their winners and top finishers.

In the Facebook event for the Palmyra Demolition Derby presented by Filthy Promotions they say admission is only $10, with kids ten and under free, but you can also get into the pits with a pit pass for $20 and $10 for kids ten and under.

There will be the beer garden open, with concessions and vendors on site, coolers will not be allowed in.

I love that demolition derbies are coming back for the warmer months! I have such great memories as a kid going to the demo derby at the county fair with my dad and my brothers, they are just a blast, no better way to spend a Saturday night in Palmyra!

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
