If you had to name one feeling that most seem to be seeking this year, it's coziness. I hear it all the time and I can prove its trendiness with a new ranking that has named a Missouri place as one of the coziest in America for 2025.

This brand new ranking from We Go Dating just updated a few days ago names not just the best small towns in America, but what they call the coziest. How did they determine this? They said that their "coziest small towns" include "winter getaways, skiing, historical charm, and waterfront seclusion".

There is only one Missouri place that made the top 50 of that cozy list and it definitely includes "historical charm and waterfront seclusion".

It is, of course, Rocheport, Missouri rated as the #42 most cozy town in America. It's hard to argue with any of the locations that border the legendary Katy Trail and its nearness to the river is just icing on the cake. Rocheport is also packed with history and character.

I think the most appealing thing about Rocheport, Missouri to me is the fact that it will likely never be changed much by modern society. It's just far enough away (I hope) from Interstate 70 that I don't expect to see massive commercial development overwhelm the small town charm. (No offense intended, Branson).
