The number of area residents with new cases of COVID-19 continues to climb, as area health departments report a total of 178 new cases Tuesday.

The Adams County Health Department reported 69 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, with 38 hospitalized, seven in ICU and 129 deaths.

In Hancock County, officials report 43 new lab confirmed cases in the week ending July 31st. Their case total is 1,986, with 87 isolated and 34 deaths.

The Marion County Health Department reported 34 new COVID cases Tuesday, running their case total to 4,408, with 184 active, 14 hospitalized and 74 deaths.

In Ralls County, officials report 27 new coronavirus cases since Thursday. That brings their case total to 1,300, with 50 active, five hospitalized and 16 deaths.

And, the Knox County Health Department reported five new COVID cases. Their case total is now 447, with ten active and four deaths.

School will be back in session before we know it! The Adams County Health Department wants to remind residents that children need to be up to date on their required immunizations to be ready for the coming school year.

The Adams County Health Department is accepting walk-ins for all vaccines Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:15pm.

The health department will also be offering back to school vaccines at area schools during the following times:
