The Bicentennial year of music in Hannibal continues with its biggest headliner yet, country music legend Clint Black.  Black will perform on Saturday, July 27 at the Hannibal Bar-B-Q Festival.

Clint Black has tallied 22 number-one hits on the Billboard Country Music Chart over the span of his career.  On Friday, July 26, another chart-topping artist Craig Morgan takes the stage in Hannibal.

The Hannibal Bar-B-Q is a new event, organized by Jason Gregory who specializes in organizing and promoting some pretty spectacular events in our area, including the recent Brew Skies Music Festival.

Besides the great music, the Hannibal Bar-B-Q naturally features some of the country's best barbecue artists.  The Kansas City Barbecue Society is hosting a competition with a $6,000 prize purse for the top finishers Sunday afternoon in the categories of chicken, ribs, pork and brisket.  You can enter a team at

The Bar-B-Q Festival will be at 4015 Market Street, adjacent to the Hannibal Inn.  It kicks off at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 26 and runs through Sunday July 28.  It features local and regional bands all day with the major headliners performing at night.  Right now, you can buy tickets on-line for just $20 per day.  Those ticket prices will go up closer to the date of the festival.
