Hundreds in Illinois to Lose Jobs When Factory Closes This Spring

It appears that another round of layoffs is coming to Illinois and it will affect hundreds of workers when a factory closes this Spring based on a new document just submitted to the state.

According to the Illinois Work Net Center, there's a new WARN notice that has been submitted by a company located in Dolton, Illinois alerting the state that a factory will close and it will affect 316 workers. The company is Ardagh Glass Inc located at 13850 Cottage Grove Ave in Dolton, Illinois.

The document submitted to the state of Illinois says this plant in Dolton will close on May 1, 2025. It appears this company specializes in glass packaging.

As of this writing, there are no press releases on the Ardagh Glass Inc website discussing any details of why this Illinois plant is closing. I've also not seen any mention of this plant closure on the company's social media platforms either. If details are added or comments are released, I will update this article with backstory about why 316 in Illinois will soon be out of work.
