Signs That Winter is Reloading to Unleash Big Cold on Missouri
Hopefully you will enjoy the warmer temperatures that have begun to appear across Missouri. It might be a good idea to not get too used to it as there are signs that winter is merely reloading for another big blast of cold as we move into February.
I've shared outlooks from this guy before because he's one of the online meteorologists I trust. Travis Roberts just took a look at what computer models are showing might (key word) follow the warmer week we're about to enjoy. Keep a close eye on the pink area over Canada. This is how models show this cold air mass will look on Saturday, February 1.
You can see how this cold air makes its way south over the first few days of February.
By the time we get a week into February, winter temperatures are definitely back in Missouri. The blue shows that by February 10, if not before, Missouri should be colder than even normal February temperatures.
The NOAA Climate Prediction Center's 8 to 14 day outlook has been showing warmer than normal temperatures for the end of January. But, that changes in February. Bye, bye warmer temperatures.
This is why I highly recommend following Travis Roberts on YouTube as he does an excellent job providing a conservative and balanced outlook on why winter isn't done with Missouri yet. Not by a long shot.
