Are you ready to open your own business? Well, you might want to read this! The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce is offering up to $10,000 in grants for entrepreneurs in Adams County with “shovel-ready” business plans.

“Businesses open at different times throughout the year, and that’s why the Business Plan Grant Program can be applied for any time of the year, as long as funds are available,” said Alta King, communications specialist of the Chamber.

The purpose of the Business Plan Grant Program is to foster new business initiatives as well as business expansions in Adams County. Applications must include business plans, and a committee will review each plan on concept and innovation, viability, and economic impact. If an applicant doesn’t receive a grant, the applicant will receive feedback from the committee to improve their business plans.

Application packets can be picked up at the Chamber office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on the second floor of The Oakley Lindsay Center, or can be downloaded from the Chamber’s website at www.quincychamber.org. For more information, call the Chamber office at (217) 222-7980.
