Central Illinois Family Reports Decades of Creature Sightings

I think it's safe to say that most in Illinois have had an odd encounter in the backwoods that they can't explain at some point in their life, but most don't take those stories seriously. It's different, however, when an entire family claims decades of weird creature sightings and that's the story of what a man in central Illinois says happened to him and those close to him.

Jesse from Hillsborough, Illinois just shared his stories with Sasquatch Theory on YouTube. While I recommend listening to him tell his stories in detail, here are some highlights of what he and his family experienced near Hillsborough, Taylorville and Springfield, Illinois:

• Jesse and a fishing friend reported hearing a loud, unnatural vocalization coming from the woods. The creature was moving uphill away from them and breaking branches easily 8 feet up into the trees. When he shined his flashlight into the darkness, he saw eyes staring back at him. He believes there might have been up to 3 creatures because of the sounds he was hearing form different places.
• Jesse said his dad and uncle had similar encounters back in the 1960's where they would hear weird sounds in the woods and had several dogs that would go missing never to be found.
• He claims that his leg was grabbed by something one night as he was sleeping outdoors in the woods.

Whenever I share stories like this that I come across, I see numerous comments ridiculing those who claim these crazy things happened to them. That's why I find this Illinois guy's testimony credible as you know that he's aware that many will just accuse him of imagining this, making it up or being under the influence of substances. If anything, it takes a brave soul to come forward and share stories like this central Illinois guy has. The fact that his family has been experiencing this for generations makes it all the more compelling.
