Don't let winter and cold weather stop you from camping.

Everyone who knows me knows, I am not a camper. Tried it once, hated it and vowed I would never camp again. However, for those of you that could live everyday camping you might want to check out The Kansas City East KOA campsite. This campsite is open year-round to get your camping fix in whenever you want to. The only time the campsite is closed is during the Christmas holiday, otherwise, it's open year-round. I will say this, the cabins that are on-site might be something I would stay in. Might be. The covered wagon looks interesting to stay in.

Now, if you want to camp outside or bring your camper you can do that too. The best part about this campground is no matter what. Hot summer days, fall night. cold winter months, this campground will be open. The summer days seem to have more activities available, but they do offer fun activities to do in the winter as well. And, if you need supplies they have their won mini-grocery store on site for anything you might need during your stay.

There are a few things that I like about this location. It's right next to Kansas City, it's just far enough away from the Tri-States to get away and enjoy family time, and it gives people like me who are not a fan of camping a way to get into camping without sleeping in a tent on the ground.
