[Updated 1:16 p.m.] Traffic is beginning to flow once again on Broadway in Quincy, following the street's closure between 24th and 30th due to a gas line break.

[Original story] Your Monday morning commute will be interrupted if you travel on Broadway in Quincy this morning.

According to the Quincy Police Department's news release

At this time there is a gas line break in the roadway at 28th and Broadway.

Ameren is on scene fixing the break and IDOT has been notified. Broadway from 24th to 30th will be closed to through traffic until further notice. Traffic is being redirected down 30th and 24th. Currently 30th is blocked to northbound traffic from Broadway due to a prior water main break. City crews are working on 30th and will have have it open to northbound traffic by 6:00 AM. Utilities have been shut off for that part of the Broadway corridor.
