Last week we announced the dates for this year's Blues in The District concert series. At that time the lineup for each concert was not official, but it is now.

The opening act for the 22nd season of Blues ion The District will feature Johnny Burgin on Friday, June 11.  Then on June 25, Mississippi Heat will take to the gazebo stage during Q-Fest weekend.

The July acts will bring Kent Burnside and Downriver Dan to Quincy on June 9 and 23, respectively.  The August entertainment at Washington Park will feature the Flood Brothers on August 13 at Washington Park with the Avey Grouws Band performing the final night of the season on August 27.

All six concerts are free to attend with attendees asked to bring their lawn chairs.  Food and beverages are allowed to be brought into the park and will also be available for purchase as well. All six concerts begin at 5:20 and run to 9:30.

The entire Blues in the District series was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 concerns. This year Blessing Health System will have interactive safety booths at each concert during the summer.
