Blues in the District

One of the best events in the Tri-States is back Blues in the District starts June 9th, and this year there is an official after-party to each Blues in the District, a party that will keep the drinks and the live music flowing!

The District has just announced the full slate of this years artists and activities for the 2021 Blues in The District!

We are gearing up for fun summer in the Tri-States' and we are all ready for it. Dogwood, Twain on Main, Q-Fest, and more are all planning on coming back this summer.

The opening act for the 22nd season of Blues ion The District will feature Johnny Burgin on Friday, June 11.

The Blues in The District committee has announced the dates for this year's concerts pending no flare-ups of COVID-19 between now and then.

I don't know about you, but I've been waiting to hear what the plan for Blues In The District was going to be.

It seems like yesterday when the calendar turned from winter to Spring in late March.  I sat in my office thinking “when is the first week of Blues in the District?” I found out it was June 14 when the first scheduled act of the summer was to take to the gazebo stage.

Tonight marks the 5th of 6 Blues in The District concerts in Quincy as The Brother Jefferson Band entertains the music fans at Washington Park.

This is one of my favorite festivals, Q-FEST. The festival will take over Washington Park, and Maine Street and here's everything you need to know if your going.

I have driven by it for months waiting patiently to be close to it. It has withstood all kinds of weather including sub-zero temperatures.  People, perhaps even Abraham Lincoln and Stephen Douglas, have walked passed it as though it didn’t even exist, but it does. No one should even think about stealing it or the wrath of the Big Dog will come down upon you. Because it is “MY ROCK”.
