I'll admit that when you think of skiing Missouri isn't the first state that comes to mind, but that doesn't mean there aren't any good ski resorts in the state. As a matter of fact, I found what appears to be two very decent options.

If you search for "ski resorts in Missouri", you'll see there are two places that almost always come up. On The Snow is one of the results that will point you to two different destinations. They are as follows:

Snow Creek is located northwest of Kansas City, Missouri in Weston while Hidden Valley is closer to St. Louis in Eureka.

The reviews on TripAdvisor for Hidden Valley are glowing talking about what a great ski hill it is and inexpensive, too. Snow Creek reviews on TripAdvisor were pretty positive, too, although a few had gripes. Snow tubing got rave reviews at Snow Creek though.

The good news is once Missouri gets real snowfall and the hills get the pack they need, you don't have to road trip to Michigan or Minnesota to get your ski life on. There are at least a few Missouri places to catch some wild air.
