It's important to note that cloud cover could cool things off a little bit. "Could' is the key word because Wednesday skies are expected to be clear as a bell and that's the day when some of the most intense heat could be happening. How to best stay cool in hot weather?

The Federal Emergency Management Agency recommends staying hydrated, making sure your home has good insulation to keep any cooling solutions you have inside and avoiding strenuous activities if possible. If your home becomes intolerable because of air conditioning failure, make sure to seek out public buildings that have air conditioning. The KROC Center in Quincy is often made available during extreme heat emergencies.
