Only 3 Illinois Restaurants Make Yelp’s Top 100 for 2026

There's no greater reward for a restaurant than to be rated highly by your customers. That's why the annual Yelp top 100 restaurant list is one of the more prestigious for eateries. For 2026, there are only 3 Illinois restaurants that ended up landing in the top 100 nationwide.

I say "only" 3 Illinois restaurants made Yelp's new top 100 list for 2026 only because I'm used to seeing at least a half dozen Chicago places near the top. How did Yelp decide which restaurants made their top 100 list? Here are their exact words:

"We identified businesses in the restaurant category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors, including the total volume and ratings of reviews. When available, all businesses on this list have a passing health score as of November 6, 2025."

Here are the 3 Illinois places that made Yelp's top 100 restaurant list:

65 - Ciccio Mio - 226 W Kinzie St Chicago, IL 60654

96 - Un Amor - 1450 W Chicago Ave Chicago, IL 60642

98 - Trivoli Tavern - 114 N Green St Chicago, IL 60607

The only Chicago restaurant I've ever eaten at myself was an awesome diner that I can't remember the name of, but it was almost identical to that classic SNL skit with John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd. I miss that version of Saturday Night Live. Good times, good times.
