Trendy Missouri Food Place Named Top 100 Yelp Restaurant for 2025

A relatively new Missouri restaurant with a very versatile menu has just been named a top 100 Yelp restaurant for 2025.

I will admit that I don't make it to the St. Louis area as much as I did in my younger years, but I thought I was familiar with most of the major restaurants in the big city which is why I was mystified why I had never heard of this place. Yelp has just recently released their new top 100 restaurants list for 2025 and the highest-rated Missouri place is this one.

Coming in at #83 for Yelp's 100 best restaurants for 2024 is Yellowbelly located at 4659 Lindell Blvd in St. Louis, Missouri. Here's how the owner describes his place on Yelp:

"We are an American restaurant and cocktail bar that is island and ocean-inspired. We connect seafood and other elements from the ocean to Midwest produce. Rum cocktails are also our specialty."

Looking at the Yellowbelly menu is wild as you'll find island-themed items including salmon, but also big cheeseburgers and even Nashville hot fried oysters.

Looking at the Yelp reviews show Yellowbelly is currently averaging 4.4 stars out of 5 with over 581 reviews so there's no surprise that it's ended up on a prestigious list like this. From what I can tell, Yellowbelly didn't open for business until around mid-2018 which is probably why it didn't end up on my radar until now. Quite an accomplishment for a restaurant not quite 7 years old to end up on America's top 100 list.
