Truckers Say Stay Away from 1 Illinois Place & It Isn’t Chicago

If you told me that truckers were warning everyone to avoid one Illinois place and gave me a half dozen guesses, I will would not have figured this out. A survey of truckers has called out a location in the Land of Lincoln and it isn't in Chicago and it isn't East St. Louis either.

This new trucker revelation comes from one of the most prominent trucking industry sites, CDL Life. From what I can gather, the truck stop towns that truckers say you should avoid appear to be from reviews left about the locations. They add that the opinions in those reviews don't necessarily reflect their views and I'll say the same myself. I am not the dude telling you to stay away from this Illinois stop. I am simply the messenger.

What Illinois place do truckers say you should stay away from?

The truckers called out Bloomington, Illinois as the one stop you want to avoid in the state. While they don't name the specific truck stop (and I won't speculate), it's clear that the showers were the problem. One trucker said a stop in Bloomington has some of the worst showers in America. I can understand why that would be a big problem. If you've ever done a cross-country trip as a truck driver, you know you need decent places to freshen up. Finding showers that are a disaster are one reason why a truck driver would give you a warning about finding a different destination.
