Where do the worst Illinois drivers call home? That's a tossup as there are many places in the Land of Lincoln that are full of those who drive like they are your worst enemy, but there is some scientific data that helps rank them.

I queried the internet databases looking for several factors that indicate the drivers in Illinois locations are...lacking. Specifically, I looked for the number of insurance claims, accidents and also online complaints from travelers in Illinois. With all of those factors taken into consideration, here are the 10 Illinois cities and towns full of the state's worst drivers.

I'm not claiming to be Mr. Perfect, but I've only received one speeding ticket in my life (which seems like a minor miracle) and have only been in a handful of accidents and have never been at fault (that I'm willing to admit to). However, I'll admit that my driving could be better. I now drive with my phone in my pocket so I'm not tempted to interact with it when I'm supposed to be paying attention behind the wheel. My car is also 20 years old and is too ancient to even understand what a touchscreen or technology looks like, so I have very few distractions while driving. I will say the one bad accident I was involved in is something I never want to experience again. Fortunately, I was not at fault and no one was seriously injured (other than my fractured skull which sounds worse than it was). Hopefully these 10 Illinois places can calm down while driving so they don't experience the terror I have.
