Why Not A Country Music Star for Halftime of The Super Bowl?
The Super Bowl is much more than a football game, it’s an event. There’s the game, the commercials and then the halftime concert. Sometimes the concert is better than the game! That statement for last Sunday’s game is very much debatable depending on who you ask. The featured artist Sunday was Adam Levine and Maroon 5 who took to the stage at halftime. I would love to be in the conference meeting to decide the entertainment for the next Super Bowl.
In looking over the previous entertainment list (see below), there is one glaring omission. If you will notice there has not been a country artist since 2003 and that was Shania Twain who had to share the stage with No Doubt and Sting. That’s 16 years without an artist from one of our biggest genre of music…country music.
A little surprising, don't you think? I mentioned this a year ago on this website, but apparently the NFL doesn't read my work.
