If you've seen questions being asked on social media about why there was a large FBI presence in a Missouri neighborhood recently, you're not alone. There is now confirmation that they dug up a yard in search of a missing person.

I saw KSDK, KMOV and numerous news outlets in the St. Louis area report on a large amount of police activity at a home on Dewey Avenue near Delor Street. KMOV is reporting that the FBI was looking for an adult woman who went missing back in 2020.

A representative from the St. Louis, Missouri Police Department said the search warrant was executed by a SWAT team around 7:30am on April 10 at a residence on Dewey Avenue near Delor Street. After they secured the residence, the FBI was called in and began an in-depth investigation into possible connections with a disappearance of a woman in 2020. The spokesperson said that no bodies had been recovered at this time.

"This is related to a missing person investigation. This was an investigation that started several years ago and we have not stopped since and that is what led us out here today...we had developed new information that led officers and detectives to get enough information to execute a search warrant here at the home".

Suspected narcotics are the only thing the FBI have found so far and two people have been detained as a result. The spokesperson debunked social media rumors of a mass grave. He said that is absolutely not true. As this is a developing story, it will be updated if the FBI releases new information.
