I have 3 tattoos which surprises most people. I guess it's surprising when someone sees a guy that looks like a grown-up version of Opie Taylor from The Andy Griffith Show, tattoos aren't the first thing that come to mind. But, I digress.

Zippia just shared an updated list of the favorite tattoos in each state. I'm confused about what the top tattoo choice in Missouri is. Here's their map and you'll understand.

So, does "Monster Tattoo" mean a monster like Mo-Mo or the Monster Energy drink logo? Asking for a friend. I did find a pic of a guy with a Monster Energy chin tattoo. Is he a Missourian I wonder?

Some interesting stats from this new tattoo roundup. Zippia says that "cats, zodiac signs, and marine mammals" are the most popular for most states while the #1 searched tattoo is butterflies. Sweet.

They also say that 30% of Americans now confess to having ink...someplace.

My wife is a native from Iowa, but she refuses to get a pink elephant tattoo. Guess she likes to be a rebel.

If you're curious about what tattoos are popular where, be sure to check out the full Zippia rundown. The statistical trends say you'll end up with a tattoo sooner or later.
