Company With Missouri Locations Just Bought 83 Wendy’s Places

Well, this is interesting. It appears that one of the largest franchise operators in America with a Missouri location has just purchased 83 Wendy's restaurants. Does this mean a comeback of many of those closed Missouri places?

I saw this report just shared by Nation's Restaurant News saying that the Flynn Group has acquired 83 Wendy's restaurants. According to the Flynn website, this is same same franchise company that owns 13 Panera restaurants in Missouri right now.

Let me be clear that this is just speculation and wondering out loud, but if they own Panera restaurants in Missouri, does this mean they want to reestablish the presence of many Missouri Wendy's locations that closed?

The Nation's Restaurant News report shared an interesting quote from Greg Flynn, the Flynn Group’s founder, chairman and CEO. He said "The resilience and strength of the brand, and the foresight and strategy put forth by its leadership, is unmatched,”. Hmm, the plot thickens.

Of the 83 Wendy's restaurants that were just acquired by the Flynn Group, there are no locations specified so we'll have to wait and see if any Missouri Wendy's were included in this deal. As a long-time fan of the brand, I'd love to see that happen, but time will tell the tale.
