If you're a fan of Trader Joe's, but don't want to drive into the metro areas of St. Louis or Kansas City, there's good news for you as there are reports they're about to open their first-ever mid-Missouri store.

Maly Commercial Realty shared the news on their Facebook page that Trader Joe's is about to open a location in Columbia, Missouri, but they did not mention an exact address where it will happen.

If you look at a map of Trader Joe's locations as of this writing, you'll see they're only in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas in Missouri.

I saw this report of Trader Joe's bringing a location to Columbia, Missouri by the Columbia Missourian, also.

It will be interesting to see if this is the beginning of Trader Joe's reaching out to the more rural areas of Missouri and not just the big cities. Columbia is no small town for sure, but it's much closer to many smaller Missouri towns that would likely enjoy having access to what they offer.
