Company with Missouri Locations Just Bought Modern Market Eatery

If you're interested in a different kind of fast food, you might be interested in a different kind of fast food chain that has just been purchased by a company that already has Missouri locations.

Restaurant Dive just shared the news of a transaction completed by Thrive Restaurant Group. This group had already built two Modern Market units in the Kansas City, Missouri metro area. Now, they've purchased the chain altogether.

A previous report said that Thrive had signed on to a deal where they would build 41 new Modern Market locations.

I noticed that the Thrive Restaurant Group website reveals they also own franchise locations for Applebee's, Bake Sale!, Homegrown Daytime Eatery and Carlos O'Kelly's Inspired Mex.

What will this mean to the Missouri restaurant landscape? With Thrive operating so many diverse franchise brands, it would not be surprising to see their footprint in the Show Me State grow even more.

Time will tell, but this is a big acquisition for a company that already has Missouri properties and perhaps more to come.
