Times are hard, no doubt about it.  If you live in northeast Missouri and face eviction or having your utilities cut off, emergency help is now available. The Salvation Army Family Services in Hannibal is taking applications for emergency assistance daily.

Available money depends upon each county's funding source. Each agency has different criteria for applicants. Some funds have to go through committee approval, while others are grant-based. A Salvation Army case worker will work with the clients to get the documentation together to present their case for consideration.

The Salvation Army Family Services of Hannibal serves Marion, Monroe, Ralls, Pike, Lewis, and Shelby counties. The office is located within the Family Store, located in the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center, beside County Market.

Applicants need to call Case Worker Alex McIntosh at 573-221-7072 to fill out the application and make any necessary additional referrals at that time. Application phone calls are being taken from 1-4pm daily.
