Back in my WTAD Radio days John Tripp and I would broadcast a “Little League Game of The Week”.

The Quincy Family YMCA will be handing out another truckload of food tomorrow to residents of Adams County.

Daycare will be available for those considered essential employees deemed by the Illinois Governor.

Kelly’s and the YMCA will host the annual St. Patrick’s Day Fun Run/Walk this Sunday. This race has been an Irish tradition in Quincy for over 30 years.

Kids will be able to dive into Quincy's Lincoln-Jackson Pool this weekend. The pool opens this Saturday, June 3 and close early August, pending attendance.

In January of 2013 the Quincy Park District announced that their new park on Bonansinga Drive would be known as Lincoln Park. The Park District had asked the public to submit names to be considered and you can’t go wrong with the name of Lincoln. I had submitted the name of Elvin Tappe. So Elvin lost out to Lincoln, but so did Steven Douglas.

The Western Community Center YMCA in Barry, Illinois is scheduled to open on August 1, 2012.  In anticipation of that big day there will be an open house tonight from 5:00pm until 8:00pm for area residents to get the first look at the completed facility.
