Traffic Lights

Is there anything more frustrating than pulling up to an intersection in Illinois and waiting for a light to turn green? Some people believe that you can influence traffic lights to turn green by doing things like honking your horn or flashing your lights. Did you know that in some cases there are things you can do?

I understand the science, but I'm not sure many in Missouri are ready for this concept to become reality. Should a 4th traffic light color be added to the traditional scheme? I predict the reason why will anger many.

Why not develop a system where once the light goes from green to yellow to red that the other lanes remain red for a five second time period?

Ok, I must admit it was a juvenile little prank we played this morning but it did work. April Fool's Day was actually yesterday, so it kind of went by unnoticed for many since it fell on a Sunday this year.
