Hannibal has its official ambassadors for the next year.

Friday marks the first full day of activities for Hannibal’s National Tom Sawyer Days celebration.

Hannibal is one step closer to sending its newest batch of goodwill ambassadors into the world.

Two dozen Hannibal seventh-graders are one step closer to becoming the community’s resident good will ambassadors.

Ride Cool at the Ramp Park in Hannibal is coming back on July 15 at Huckleberry Park, sponsored by the Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department and Hannibal Clinic Health Services.

The 39th annual Autumn Historic Folklife Festival descends upon downtown Hannibal Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, and the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum will be right in the middle of the action.

On July 4, the official 2015/2016 Tom and Becky were named for the City of Hannibal. Rhet Reed and Molly Broughton will serve as the city's ambassadors for the next year.

Hannibal’s official Tom and official Becky have been named for 2015 – 2016. During a noon ceremony at Central Park, the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum announced that Rhet Reed and Molly Broughton had been chosen as Hannibal’s new city ambassadors.

The process begins this week to select two of Hannibal’s best known goodwill ambassadors for 2015.

The Tom and Becky Program is an annual tradition in Hannibal. Started in 1956, it was created by the Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce as a contest to select an official Tom and an official Becky to greet students visiting Hannibal from St. Louis. The Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum has announced that it is assuming sponsorship of the program.
