Thanks to a major solar storm that is underway as of this writing, you can barely see the Northern Lights which are visible even from parts of northern Missouri and there's video to prove it.

There is hype growing that it's likely you'll be able to see a glorious display of the Northern Lights dazzling your eyeballs over Missouri and Illinois this Thursday night. Sorry to be a party pooper, but that doesn't appear likely to happen. At all.

It would be a good idea to pay attention to the sky Tuesday night especially over northern Missouri as there's at least a chance the Northern Lights will be visible thanks to recent solar flares.

I want to preface this by saying don't get your hopes way up, but there's a teeny tiny chance we'll be able to see the northern lights in the tri-state area this weekend.

There was a spectacular sight in the skies over the tri-states Saturday night, but it's not the spectacular sight we expected. Pics show a brilliant meteor that many saw over the tri-states last evening.
