Quincy Salvation Army

The Quincy Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is sponsoring its 51st annual Dress-an-Angel clothing project on March 28, 2015. This year, as in the past 50, the women will provide a new Easter outfit and a Bible for over 300 children in the Quincy area.

The Salvation Army began taking applications in Quincy for Christmas Food Baskets and Toy Town on Monday of this week. The last chance to apply will be this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the Worship Theater of the Kroc Center.

The Salvation Army will serve a free Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Kroc Center located at 405 Vermont Street in Quincy. The community is invited to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey and all the trimmings. Music will be provided by The Salvation Army Praise Band.

The Quincy Salvation Army will begin the Christmas season with their annual Tree of Lights Christmas Kick-off event. The event will be a luncheon this Friday, November 14, at 12:00 noon at the Shelter/Family Services Facility at 501 Broadway. This year’s campaign chairs will be introduced along with the announcement of the 2014 campaign goal.
