Federal money is on its way to western Illinois to help fund improvements at Quincy Regional Airport.

This Friday night will start the new service provided by SkyWest with 12 flights weekly to Chicago. The first flight will leave at 6:23 p.m.

Air service in Quincy has become a hot topic lately with the City of Quincy trying to decide what airline they want serving the city and area.

What Quincy needs is a really good "big" name concert. I have heard that comment from people for years. The last "big" name concert I can remember was Bret Michaels when he came to Quincy a few years ago. I have wondered why we don't have one "big" concert a year in Quincy.
