An icon in local radio, Chuck Yates, would have been 68 years old today. It sounds strange to say that since he was always considered a “teenager” by all who knew him. Chuck passed away on December 19, 2013. One can only wonder what would have gone on during his morning radio show today if he were still with us. I guarantee it would have been fun because that is what Chuck was all about.

It is that time of year again. The Holidays are here and it is time for Vespers. Quincy Senior High School presents Vespers 2015 on Sunday, December 13. There is a 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. time. This will be held at the Quincy High School Theatre. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for students. For more information, contact the Quincy High School office.
Quincy University today announced plans to completely renovate historic QU Stadium, the home of QU baseball and future home of QU football, with a $4 million investment by PFIC, a California based developer of facilities for colleges and universities
The Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition will be held Saturday, October 18. The Parade in Quincy will travel west from 33rd and Maine Street starting at 2 p.m. The field competition will begin at 5:15 at Flinn Stadium.
Quincy Senior High School will be presenting "New Faces 2014" at the Quincy High School Theatre on April 3, 4 and 5 at 7:30 and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on April 6.
It was a big day in Springfield, Illinois on Saturday, February 15 as the pom squads from both Quincy high schools won state titles in their respective classes and divisions!
