Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition

Here are key dates for some of Quincy's favorite annual events and activities in 2015. 

Lenny Bart, executive director of the Quincy Society of Fine Arts, stopped by the studio for this week's Quincy Artsbeat. The upcoming weekend is a big one in Quincy, with the Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition taking place, along with the Quincy Preserves 'Behind Closed Doors' architectural tour, and the Tin Dusters are in town.

The Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition will be held Saturday, October 18. The Parade in Quincy will travel west from 33rd and Maine Street starting at 2 p.m. The field competition will begin at 5:15 at Flinn Stadium.

The 19th Annual Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition will be held on Saturday, October 18, featuring marching bands from Illinois, Missouri and Iowa. The parade will travel west from 33rd & Maine Streets at 2 p.m. that afternoon. The field competition at Flinn Stadium will begin at 5:15 p.m.

The Quincy Senior High Music Department will be hosting the 18th Annual Octoberfest Parade and Field Competition on Saturday, October 19th, featuring bands from Illinois Missouri and Iowa.
