It continues to amaze me just how many Elvis Presley fans continue to make the trek to Memphis, Tennessee on this day each year to honor the “King of Rock and Roll.”
The King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, would have turned 82 tomorrow if he were still alive. He has been gone 40 years yet his army of fans still is quite strong and many will migrate to Elvis' home called "Graceland" today for his birthday anniversary.
It continues to amaze me just how many Elvis Presley fans continue to make the trek to Memphis, Tennessee on this day each year to honor the "King of Rock and Roll." Whether it amazes me or not, thousands will come to Graceland, Elvis' home, to hold a candlelight vigil on the 39th anniversary of Elvis' death.
The summer of 2015 just got hotter! From St. Louis to Memphis to Cleveland and Quincy, Vatterott College is hosting its popular complimentary concert series, featuring performances from breakout new artists such as singer/songwriter Sarah Michelle, St. Louis rap artist Saint Oeaux, folk artist Monkh and St. Louis Riverfront Times Best Hop-Hop Group,Doorway.
Easter is upon us and there will be Easter candy and eggs to find and enjoy. There are several Easter Egg Hunts being held in the Hannibal-Quincy area again this year. Of course, the intent of these hunts is for all of the children to have fun gathering the hidden eggs. It has nothing to do with the parents, or does it?
Easter is behind us now but the fallout is still prevalent. The candy is still around and even some hidden eggs are still out there if you really want to search. What a great community we live in. There were several Easter Egg hunts held in the Y101 listening area.
