Mark Twain Memorial Bridge

It spanned the Mississippi for 64 years and is now only a memory. Thanks to the Library of Congress, we can remember what used to be the original Mark Twain Memorial Bridge.

If you’ll be on the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge this week, be advised you will need to be on the lookout for bridge inspectors.

Weather permitting, October 7, MoDOT crews will have traffic reduced to one lane. I-72 on the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge will have lighting work being done.

Traffic on the Mark Twain Memorial Bridge was shut down on Monday afternoon due to a fire on the bridge.
