So here we were, all watching our favorite shows on WGEM-TV and KHQA-TV last Wednesday night when both stations cut away from their regular programming to provide information in an attempt to inform people of the danger lurking in the area with tornadoes reported in the area.

The storm recovery project is continuing in the City of Quincy. This upcoming weekend will be filled with the sounds of chainsaws as people try to clear their property of fallen tree limbs. There are plenty of elderly and disabled people who will not be able to do any cleanup. Therefore, there is  a request for people who can help them this Saturday and Sunday during the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Adams County Coroner James Keller has identified the victim of an early morning fatal shooting as 12-year-old Rayshone D. Humphrey Jr. According to a report from WGEM, officers responded to the shooting scene in the 1100 block of North 5th Street between Cedar and Cherry Streets and found a boy that had been shot outside of a home.
