From the category of "Where did the Summer go?", the final Blues of the District concert of the year will be held Friday at Washington Park. Hector Anchondo will perform in the season finale which will put the wraps on season number 19.

This Friday night will be the 5th of 6 installments of "Blues in the District" at Washington Park in Quincy as the local group Soul Shaker takes to the bandstand.

This summer's 19th season of The District’s Blues in the District Concert Series will kick off tonight in Washington Park in Quincy.  Starting off this year’s season tonight will be Katy Guillen & the Girls from Kansas City, Missouri and a finalist in the 2014 International Blues Challenge.

The next to last Blues in the District concert  for the summer of 2015 will be held at Washington Park in Quincy this Friday with another wonderful blues band performing. The Jeremiah Johnson Band will entertain the crowd beginning at 5:30 Friday afternoon.

The District has announced that this Friday’s Blues in the District will be held on schedule. The Blues in the District concert featuring Coyote Bill will be this Friday, July 24 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. The concert is free and held in Washington Park.

The third of six "Blues in the District" nights will be held tonight as the Matt Roberts Blues Band will be performing.
