Even though COVID continues to be a concern for many, there are a number of things going on around northeast Missouri and western Illinois this weekend.

There are some things in my life that I am just too scared to do, and one of them is haunted houses. However, for those of you who love to get your scare on, the Hannibal Jaycees are bringing it tjhis year with their 2020 Haunted House.

The Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House is one of the area's most popular Halloween attractions. It's a lot of fun to visit, as long as you can handle the scares! Of course, that leaves out younger kids, which is why the haunted house is going to have a special "lights on" hour on Halloween.

All roads lead to northeast Missouri and western Illinois this weekend, with no less than four marquee events taking place simultaneously in the area.

After a year off, the Hannibal Jaycees have announced that their Zombie Run will make a return to America's Hometown in 2015. The 2015 Zombie Run will be on Saturday, October 10.

It's October, which means Halloween's coming, which means it's time to start visiting haunted houses! In our area there are several haunted houses, haunted trails, haunted woods, even a haunted church that Halloween lovers can visit during the month. Which one is the scariest?

With the coming of October comes one of the Hannibal Jaycees' signature events.

The Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House will open on Friday, October 2. Volunteers are needed to help pull of this year's haunted house, and the Jaycees will be holding an open casting call on Sunday.
