This Sunday is Easter Sunday and hopefully it will be a safe Easter for all. The world is a troubled place right now and just maybe Easter Services will make people feel at ease about the problems of the world. I hope so. But for many who read this going to church will not be happening simply because they weren't asked by anyone.
We are at the start of the season of lent and people have chosen to give up many things for lent. One of the more interesting things I've heard about being given up is social media.

If you have driven around Quincy and Hannibal lately there have been plenty of signs posted for people to see. Most of them lately dealt with the last election and those signs are little by little coming down around the area. One sign that is still up has led many people to wonder what it is all about? The sign says "Who is Emerson Switch?".

With the Easter holiday coming this week the City of Quincy has revised their hours. The Quincy City Hall will be closed this Friday, April 3, 2015 in observance of Good Friday. City Hall will reopen Monday, April 6, for regular business hours.
You may not be aware, but the Easter Bunny has been around for a long time. Easily one of the most recognizable symbols of the holiday, the loveable critter was first mentioned in an essay by German physician and botanist Georg Franck von Frankenau all the way back in 1682. Funny, we always figured he was just a Hallmark creation.
